school which offer a course for both boys and girls from kindergarten to
Matayom suksa 3 (grade 9). The school has 1,800 students.

History
of the school
The
Kittivit Bilingual School was established in 1997 at the Kittivit suburban –
Hat Yai campus. We offer unique choices which few Thai schools provided.
Students are taught 75% of subjects in English by Native instructors , while
instruction in selected subjects is given in the Thai language. The bilingual
program is less expensive than International schools and provides students with quality , activity-based
learning close to home. We have joined with two of Bangkok’s leading bilingual
institutions as well as institutions in the United States to insure the quality
of both programming and resources. These
twinning programs assist us in
obtaining
quality personnel , teacher and student
resources as
well as future opportunities for our
students. These
combinations create a quality
internationally-oriented
program appropriate for
both Thai and
International students.
Curriculum and teaching
The Kittivit Bilingual curriculum follows
the Thai Government’s curriculum guidelines, while incorporating aspects of
both the British and American education systems. The bilingual school has the
established goal of continually updating and developing the curriculum and
teaching methodology used in the classroom. English is used as the primary
medium of instruction for such subjects as Math , Science , Social sciences ,
Language and reading , Physical education , Art , Computer and Music. The Thai
language is used as a supplement to both these and additional subjects including
culture , morals , scouts. This unique combination provides students with a
wide breath of knowledge and experience for effective reading , speaking and
writing , while maintaining their Thai language skills and heritage. Students
emerge from the program are equally proficient in both Thai and English
languages.
We
have closely monitored to insure quality by the Thai private education
commission. Students who had completed the program posses the skills to further
their studying at various institutions, including our JR./SR. High
international schools , Thai High schools , and High schools abroad. Our
curriculum prepares students to eventually enter standard or English-based
programs of university in Thailand or abroad.
Our school is located on 16 park-like rai in
suburban Hat Yai. We have a separate building specifically suited for bilingual
students. This provides students with access to modern classroom resources and
specialty classrooms including computer
rooms , science rooms, swimming pool , sound lab , library , Thai dance
room , and the music room. Students are free to use the school’s football
fields , basketball and volleyball courts , as well as the students
playgrounds. Students are provided with abundant space to run within the
school.
We
